Updated and great-sized units with comfy bed. Magnificent, perfectly comfortable location in The Dalles, not far from the walking path down on the river, the center of The Dalles and a pub and restaurant. Also, in "downtown".

Original small hotel with perfect staff and food. Reasonably large room overall, with comfy bed.

Great place with nice wifi, free parking, and 24-hour reception. The staff once helped me with a room issue late at night. I recommend visiting during Christmas. I'm definitely coming back then!

The staff attending the breakfast area during our stay was very helpful and pleasant. She went out of her way to meet our needs. Also, Renee, who managed the desk, did a great job helping me get computer access to print out my boarding passes. She also gave us a good recommendation for dinner.
There was a wet towel handing on the bathroom door.

Comfortable but noisy
The place was clean and comfy, but right off the main road so it gets loud with the outside entrances. They allow pets, great, but the pet area is tiny-just a grassy spot across the road. Got a nice breakfast with standard options, a plus for starting the day. Just some noise issues.

car/truck noise from the street is heard in the room.

The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the many outlets for charging devices. The bedside lighting was dim, and the thermostat was complicated to figure out without instructions. The windowshade design left the room dark, compromising privacy. The gym facilities are a decent perk for a quick workout.

The cable selection was very limited; and the DVDs available in the lobby were at an additional charge.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were, how exceptionally friendly all of the staff were, and how centrally located the hotel was. We would stay there again in a heartbeat if we are ever in The Dalles again.

old facility, rude surprises
The bed was comfortable and the shower was good.
The facility is in urgent need of rehab. My room wasn't cleaned and I had issues with the keys.

It allows pets to stay and it's in a great community. Perfect stop when traveling on I84.
The first time I stayed my room was set up for my little dog. It was a great welcome with the bowl and treats. This time, I didn't see that little bit of hospitality. Maybe it only is for newcomers.

Generally, the place was delightful and had helpful and decent staff from the receptionist to the house keepers. I loved the room with a nice view. Had such facilities, like central heating, TV set and a microwave oven.
